Louisville welcomes back the holiday favorite, A Christmas Carol, at the Actors Theatre after a six-year break.
This revamped adaptation by Lavina Jadhwani, under the direction of Amelia Acosta Powell and Emily Tarquin, promises a fresh take on Dickens’ beloved story.
Showings run December 5–21, 2025, at the Pamela Brown Auditorium, with ticket prices starting at $30.
The production also invites community members to volunteer through the Radical Hospitality program.
Volunteer training is set for December 7 at 10 a.m. and December 10 at 4 p.m., but spots are limited.

Fa La La on Frankfort returns to Louisville’s historic Frankfort Avenue on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, inviting locals to a festive, community-focused celebration.
Beginning at 12:30 PM with lively music from Upbeat Louisville, the event features an interactive Santa visit from 1:00 PM for kids eager to share wish lists and drop off letters.
Dog owners can join the Holiday Dog Walk, with registration at Urban Village Veterinary Care and a stroll to Crescent Hill Animal Hospital, complete with prizes from Jade’s Pet Grooming and support from the Louisville Water Company.
Local businesses along the avenue will offer special deals, treats, and giveaways, perfect for holiday shopping.
Attendees can also enjoy a 20% discount at Gardens Aglimmer in Waterfront Botanical Gardens using code ‘FABA20’.
