The D'Angelo Russell Foundation brought holiday cheer to West Louisville by distributing more than 4,200 turkeys during its third annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive at the Goodwill West Louisville Opportunity Center.

This event, which began with just 100 turkeys, has grown remarkably, reflecting the foundation’s deep local roots and commitment.

Antonio Russell, vice president of the foundation, emphasized their motivation to help because they are part of the community.

The day included family-friendly activities like face painting, food, coffee, and lively music, making it more than just a giveaway.

Crucial support came from partners, including Prayer Changes Things, Kroger, and the Dallas Mavericks.

The Opportunity Center also remains a hub for events uplifting the community, ahead of the Fathers United Against Community Violence Summit this December.

The foundation continues to inspire hope and generosity throughout West Louisville.
