Trick or Treat at the Track Returns to Churchill Downs This October

Churchill Downs is set to host its annual Trick or Treat at the Track event on Sunday, October 26, 2025, as part of the beloved Family Adventure Day series.

 

Families are invited to enjoy a day filled with festive activities under the iconic Twin Spires.

 

The event features over 15 kid-friendly stations, including candy stops for trick-or-treating, exciting live horse racing, and a variety of games and crafts designed for children under 12.

 

Attendees can look forward to face painting sessions from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., stick horse races with registration between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., and interactive inflatables such as slides and obstacle courses.

 

Additional attractions include a pumpkin patch where children can select their own pumpkins, a game zone featuring cornhole and giant Jenga, and arts and crafts stations to spark creativity.

 

Gates open at noon, with the first race scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

 

Children are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes to enhance the Halloween spirit.

 

General admission allows up to two children to attend for free with each paying adult aged 18 or older.

 

For access to Family Adventure Day activities, guests must check in at the designated tent located near the Paddock Gate.

 

Before attending, visitors are advised to review the list of prohibited items to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

 

Notably, wagons and certain other items are not permitted inside the facility.
