Save 30% on Your MSD Wastewater Bill with Available Assistance Programs

Louisville MSD offers two programs that can help eligible customers save 30% on their wastewater bills.

 

These programs are the Emergency Wastewater Rate Assistance Program (EWRAP) and the Senior Citizen Discount Program.

 

Emergency Wastewater Rate Assistance Program (EWRAP)

 

EWRAP provides a 30% discount on MSD wastewater charges for qualifying low-income households.

 

To be eligible, applicants must:

 

- Be the main account holder or listed on the account.

 

- Receive metered water service for a property used solely for residential purposes, owned or leased as their principal residence.

 

- Have a total household income at or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines.

 

- Not currently receive MSD’s Senior Citizen Discount.

 

 

Participation is limited to 3,000 households.

Senior Citizen Discount Program

 

This program offers a 30% discount on wastewater charges for customers aged 65 or older with a gross annual household income of $35,000 or less.

 

Eligible customers must:

 

- Be at least 65 years old.

 

- Be the main account holder or listed on the account.

 

- Receive metered water service for a property used solely for residential purposes, owned or leased as their principal residence.

 

- Not receive MSD’s EWRAP discount.

 

Participants must reapply every three years.
