LIHEAP Fall Subsidy Applications Open for Louisville Residents

Louisville residents seeking assistance with heating costs can now apply for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Fall Subsidy.

 

Applications are accepted from November 3 through December 12, 2025, or until funds are exhausted.

 

Eligible households may receive a one-time benefit to help cover heating expenses.

 

To qualify, households must have an income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

 

The subsidy applies to various heating sources, including electricity, natural gas, propane, coal, wood, and fuel oil.

 

Benefits are paid directly to the energy vendor, and applicants do not need a disconnect notice or past-due bill to apply.

 

Assistance received during previous LIHEAP components does not affect current eligibility.

 

Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
