Louisville Prepares for Major Traffic Adjustments Amid Festival Festivities

As Louisville gears up for the much-anticipated Bourbon & Beyond Festival, residents and visitors should be aware of significant street closures and parking restrictions to accommodate the event.

From Thursday, September 11, 2025, through Sunday, September 14, 2025, Phillips Lane will be closed daily from 8:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., spanning from Monarch Drive to Freedom Way. Additionally, nightly ramp and lane closures will facilitate traffic exiting the festival grounds.

Parking restrictions will be enforced throughout the festival period. Notably, no parking or stopping will be permitted all day on both sides of Phillips Lane from Freedom Way to Crittenden Drive. Similar restrictions apply to several adjacent streets, including Crittenden Drive from Phillips Lane to I-65, and Monarch Drive from Phillips Lane to Manning Road.

These measures are essential to ensure the safety and smooth flow of both vehicular and pedestrian traffic during the festival. Attendees are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly and consider alternative transportation options.

The Bourbon & Beyond Festival is not just a celebration of music and bourbon; it significantly boosts the local economy. In 2024, the festival attracted over 210,000 attendees, contributing more than $33 million to Louisville's economy. This year, with expanded festival grounds and enhanced amenities, an even greater turnout is anticipated, promising substantial benefits for local businesses and the community at large.

For those planning to attend, it's advisable to stay updated on traffic advisories and festival-related announcements to ensure a seamless experience.
