5th Annual BARKtoberfest Returns to Louisville This Saturday

PG&J's Dog Park Bar Hosts Festive Fundraiser for PBSF Dog Rescue

Louisville's beloved canine celebration, the 5th Annual BARKtoberfest, is set to take place this Saturday, September 20th, from 3 to 8 pm at PG&J's Dog Park Bar, located at 800 Baxter Avenue.

Attendees can look forward to an array of activities, including a Stein Hoisting Contest sponsored by Warsteiner, starting at 4 pm for men and followed by the women's contest. Entry is $25, allowing participants to keep their commemorative stein, with refills available for $15.

For the four-legged guests, the Weiner and Small Dog Races begin at 5 pm, sponsored by Sierra Nevada. Entry is $10, with prizes awarded to the top three finishers.

Additional festivities include Pumpkin Bowling throughout the day, sponsored by Sam Adams, with donation-based entry fees and prizes based on performance. A raffle featuring items from local businesses will also be held, with drawings later in the day.

Entertainment will be provided by DJ Phantom from 4 to 8 pm, and attendees can enjoy swag from Yuengling and Shiner.

All entry fees and raffle ticket purchases will benefit PBSF Dog Rescue, supporting their mission to find loving homes for dogs in need.

PG&J's Dog Park Bar, known for its commitment to the animal rescue community, has raised over $105,000 for dog rescues since its opening in 2021. The venue offers a unique space where dogs and their owners can socialize, featuring both indoor and outdoor off-leash areas.
